Welcome to School

Welcome to the 09-10 school year. It’s hard to believe that summer is about over. It seems just like yesterday that we were dismissing for the 08-09 school year.
Everyone here at the elementary/middle school is extremely excited about the upcoming school year. As of day one, we had 22 new students enroll. That is awesome. I don’t ever remember a year that we had that many new students on opening day. The staff and student body has done an excellent job of welcoming them to Central Lyon.
On Friday, August 28th, we will be having an ice cream social for grades 1-8. This event will be held in the elementary/middle school multi-purpose room. The lower elementary grades will go first, beginning at 2:40. It’s always an enjoyable way to end the first full week of school. Hope to see you there.
