Prom Survival Kit

by Izzi F.

The last thing you want at prom is something to go dastardly wrong! You won’t have to worry about these things if you come prepared!

Here is a list of some items you should bring to form your Prom Survival Kit!

Safety pins: Worst case scenario is that your dress rips or someone steps on your dress and you suddenly have a split in your gorgeous gown. Come prepared with some safety pins so you can conceal the tear!

Lip stick/Lip gloss: Sadly, your lip gloss won’t stay on forever! Bring along the exact shade you used in the beginning of the night to keep an all night shine.

Pain reliever: Yes, you may be having fun at your prom but the pounding music, the stress, and all the caffeine just may get to you! Come prepared with some pain relievers so you can enjoy the night without a pounding headache!

Breath mints/gum: The last thing you want is do is to breath a cloud of bad breath in your date’s face! Pop in a stick of gum or a breath mint and you won’t have to worry about knocking someone over with your halitosis!

Your camera: While memories are good for the time being, you want to record this night with your camera so you can look back at it and laugh. If you don’t want to bring your camera make sure one of your close friends is bringing his or hers so you can document the night together! Also, make sure that you have some spare batteries in case your camera chooses an untimely death!

Bobby pins: Hopefully, you will put enough hair spray on to last a month! But chances are a strand of hair may come loose and you’re afraid to take out a bobby pin that’s holding up your hair in fear of it all coming tumbling down! With extra bobby pins you can make quick changes and possibly come to the rescue of a friend!

Band-Aids: Walking around all night in high heels can get a bit taxing on the feet even if you are used to traipsing around in heels. A blister may form on your toe or your shoe may painfully rub against your skin so a band-aid is an easy fix to those little nuisances!
