Tis the Season for Giving

Slideshow Icon Christmas Food Challenge

The students in grades TK-5th grade were challenged to give non-perishable items that would be donated to Mid-Sioux and ATLAS.  The second graders rose to the challenge and went above and beyond what was expected of them!  All three sections of second grade brought in about 350 items!  Because of their generosity, they were allowed to wear their pajamas to school on Monday, December 19.  They were also treated to popcorn and a movie. The teachers also enjoyed wearing their pajamas to school as well.  Grades TK-5th grade donated a combined total of about 1,700 items!  Thank you to all the parents that so generously donated items from your own cupboards or went shopping with your child for these items!  Your support is greatly appreciated!  Please be sure to check out the Christmas Food Challenge Slideshow for more pictures.
