Barb Foltz- Third Grade Teacher
I am currently teaching third grade at Central Lyon. I'm married to Dave Foltz, you can find him selling insurance and real estate with Sieperda/Foltz. Together we share 4 children, Chad, Jen, Kelli, and Mike. They all have graduated from Central Lyon and the oldest three are now married . We have several grandchildren, some living close to us and others living in California . That gives us an excuse to visit California whenever possible!
Professionally, I have taught at Central Lyon since 1974 and have taught all grades except second during that time . In 2000, I became National Board Certified. That took a great deal of time and effort, just ask my family and the class that went through those years of effort with me!! Actually, it was a great experience and reminds me that being a student is NOT an easy task! I very much enjoy working with children! My co-workers have been a great source of support both professionally and personally. Finding a profession that keeps life interesting is a blessing!
