On December 24 of 1985, Curt
and Trish received an early Christmas present in the form of a baby
boy named Chris. Chris grew up with his two dogs, Maggie and
Josie, and four goldfish, which will remain
During his high school career, Chris has been involved in football, basketball, International Club, Academic Decathlon, and he is an FFA officer-at-large. This year, he’s taking chem com, calculus, psychology, government, automated accounting, grammar, single survival, and web page design. When he’s not hard at work in school, he finds time to attend his church youth group.
You can usually find Chris at his house watching Monty Python’s Search for the Holy Grail or watching Sportscenter on ESPN. He likes to listen to Garth Brooks and eat Mac and cheese. His dream car? A 1969 Volkswagen van.
If he could go anywhere in the world, he would take Reuben and Jesse and go see the Twins play in the World Series. The person he most admires is former Vikings wide receiver Chris Carter.
Chris’s future plans are to attend college and become a math teacher. In 10 years, he sees himself working, having a wife, two kids, and a dog with a big house. He has been happy with his tenure at Central Lyon with his most memorable moment being his singing karaoke at the FFA dance with Jesse. He only wishes we had a longer lunch period.
He leaves us with these words of advice: “Don’t let the man get you down.” Sound advice; good luck, Chris.
