Fifth Grade Field Trip
by Pat Verrips
Recently, the fifth grade students took their annual fall field trip. In conjunction with our study of Native Americans in Social Studies, we visited Gitchie Manitou and Blood Run, both sites associated with the Sioux Indians who are thought to have lived in this area thousands of years ago. The students seemed to enjoy the day, and left with valuable information about both areas. We also encourage the students to make a return visit, possibly taking other family members with them.
