Final Projects for Foundations of Education

This project and presentation took the place of a comprehensive final exam.  Students had to choose a film or book featuring some aspect of teaching, culture, and education.  For the final project presentation, each student was asked to view their chosen film or book and find articles from professional journals that relate in some way to the film’s or book's themes. Mrs. Schrick spent a day with the students teaching them how to find professional journals. In each presentation, each student presented a thesis, excerpts from the film or book, and a summary/excerpts from the article in order to inspire a conversation on the educational theme addressed in both pieces.
