On February 16, 1991, Mike and Nancy V. welcomed their first child, a son named Mitchell William. He was later joined by two sisters, Karmen and Kristina.
Throughout high school, Mitch has participated in football, bowling, basketball, Quiz Bowl, International Club, band, National Honor Society, mock trial, and Jazz Band I and II. He was also the junior class treasurer. He is involved in CYO at Holy Name Catholic Church. He has been an honor student every year.
Mitch has a full class schedule this year. He is taking calculus, physics, band, psychology, P.E., government, accounting, mechanical CAD, and grammar.
Mitch’s favorite movie is “We Were Soldiers.” He likes all types of music, and doesn’t have a favorite color. His favorite book is “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” Mitch’s favorite food is steak, his favorite subject is math, and he likes the TV show “Man vs. Wild.”
In the future, Mitch plans to attend Iowa State for engineering, then possibly attend graduate school after that. In ten years Mitch sees himself done with school and with a good career. His words of advice to underclassmen are that you get out of high school what you put into it.
If Mitch could spend a day with someone, it would be his grandpa Joe, so he could get to know him better.
Good luck in the future, Mitch.
