On November 4, 1987, Dan and Jeanie’s
first child Nate was born. Josie, Sadie, Nedd,
twins Nash and Mattie, and a dog named Susie make up the rest of
Nate’s family. Nate has been involved in a
variety of activities throughout high school including four years
of football, basketball, and FFA. This year he
was captain of the football team and has been an FFA
officer-at-large for two years. He has also been
a member of the National Honor Society for two years.
The classes Nate is taking this year include carpentry,
Applied Woods III, ag. business, government, p.e., grammar,
accounting, psychology, metal fab., horticulture, single’s
survival, and natural resources. Nate was voted
Hardest Worker, Best Smile, and Teacher’s
Pet by his class. He was also named to First
Team All-District for football.
Nate enjoys hunting, watching the movie Friday Night Lights, and listening to country music. He likes eating eggs, bacon, and steak, and taking vo. ag. and shop classes. His favorite color is hunter orange, and his favorite sport is football. Nate’s plans for the future are currently undecided, but in ten years he sees himself having a good job, a wife, and maybe a couple of kids. Nate’s most memorable high school moment was the game in which the football team beat West Lyon to win the district his junior year of high school. His words of wisdom to underclassmen are, “Listen to your coaches.” If Nate could spend one day with anyone, he would choose to be with his Grandpa Metzger because he enjoys going hunting with his grandpa. Nate has had many accomplishments so far, and he will achieve many more in the future.
