Thank You, Firefighters!

The Rock Rapids firefighters met with the first graders as part of Fire Prevention Week.
Eric Borman talked to the students about fire safety and stressed the importance of smoke alarms, and of having a fire escape plan in place. David Altman put on his fire fighting gear, and demonstrated how to crawl low when there's smoke in a room.
The first graders then joined Ed Reck and Eldon Kruse outside to view the fire trucks, and to learn about the equipment used to fight fires.
We appreciate all the firefighters do to help keep our community safe!
