50's Day

by Jaci Van Veldhuizen

On October 28,  we celebrated the 50th day of school in grand style.  The kids came to school all dressed in their 50's clothes and we paraded around the school.  Then we watched a 50's Power Point on the Smart Board.  We learned about what times were like, and what was popular back in that decade.  The next activity, was a bubble gum blowing contest.  The Sock Hop was the favorite activity.  The kids had fun dancing to the tunes of the 50's.  A limbo contest, hula hoop contest and car hop relay were the next activities.  The day was topped off with some delicious root beer floats.  As you can see by the smiles on the pictures, this was a fun day for all.   50's Day
