On New Year’s Day in
1989, Chris and Patty Bixenman welcomed their son Matthew into the
world. Matt has two younger brothers, Nick and Jordan, and a
dog named Boots.
Throughout his high school career, Matt has kept himself pretty busy. He has been involved in football and golf for four years, basketball for three years, and baseball for one year. He also received letters in these sports. Outside of school, Matt is involved with CYO from the Catholic Church in Rock Rapids.
The classes he is taking this year include: government, single survival, today’s family, ag business, natural resources, and p.e. His favorite hour the day is study hall.
Matt has many other favorites. He enjoys the movie Wedding Crashers and watching That 70’s Show while eating his favorite food, Oreo cookie dessert. He likes listening to rock, rap, and country while reading his favorite book Second Coming. He is also a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr., and likes the color blue.
Matt’s future plans include attending some sort of schooling, and in ten years he sees himself working and living in Rock Rapids. His most memorable high school moment was playing baseball in the metro dome.
If Matt could give any words of wisdom to the underclassmen, they would be “Don’t drink and drive!”
Matt said that if he could spend one day with someone it would be with his grandpa Bixenman, because he would have a lot to tell him.
