Rod Fastert and Mary Fastert were blessed on July 19, 1988, with a sweet little girl, Danielle Nicole Fastert.  Danielle has an older brother, Justin.  They have three dogs, Jake, Duke, and Jack.
Danielle goes to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids.  She is also a CNA at Lyon Manor nursing home.
While in high school Danielle has been very involved with many different things.  Some of these things include: being the basketball and volleyball manager, involved with FFA, and also was the sophomore class secretary.  She also shows pigs and cows at the Lyon County Fair.
Danielle has a busy senior year.  She is taking today’s family, ag business, government, single survival, work study (at the Hair Pin), journalism, American basics, basic writing, homes by design, child development, and also some study halls.  While being in high school Danielle as been on the honor roll, finished 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, in fruit sales, and has gotten champion and grand-champion showing pigs at the fair.
Danielle has many favorites.  Some of these favorites include: the movie The Notebook, any country, rock, or rap music, the color blue, the book A Million Little Pieces, three cheese ravioli from Granite City, single survival or any Mr. McDonald class, and That 70’s Show.
If Danielle could spend one day with anyone she would spend it with her grandma Fastert and Grandma Titze.  She and her grandma Fastert were very close and she taught Danielle a lot about life.  Danielle never got to meet her Grandma Titze because she passed away before Danielle was born.
Danielle’s future plans are to go to college for nursing.  She is still undecided on where she is going for college.  Danielle sees herself in ten years hopefully married with at least one kid and working as a nurse.
Danielle’s most memorable high school moments were all four years of homecoming.   Her words of advice to the underclassmen are, always be yourself, and don’t change just to fit in.
We wish you the best Danielle!  Good Luck!
