Kelly Thomas Hoye was born on May 16, 1988 to Jim and Michelle Hoye. He has one sister, Haley; a dog, Nuppy; and a cat, Nippy Nat.
He has been involved in many activities throughout his high school career, including: Football, Baseball, Wrestling, Basketball, Track, Golf, International Club, FFA, Mock Trial, Quiz Bowl, Journalism, Chorus, and Jazz Choir. He has lettered two years in football, three years in baseball, and one year in golf. Kelly is a high honor student, and was also voted best personality, most dramatic, and most organized in the senior class. He is also attends CYO at the Holy Name Catholic Church. His jobs include being an occasional Farm hand, and a carryout boy at Sunshine Foods.
The classes Kelly is taking this year include: grammar, calculus, speech, agri-business, work study, Journalism II, psychology, single survival, and chorus. His favorite movie is Mean Girls. He enjoys listening to Simple Plan, Yellowcard, and All-American Rejects. Kelly likes the color blue, and the book Black Like Me. His favorite subject is work study, and he loves to watch the show The Office. He also loves the Country of Ireland.
His most memorable moment of his high school career was hanging out with Mr. and Mrs. Langholdt. If he could have dinner with one person, he says it would be Jesus, because, “he’s the man”. Kelly’s future plans include going to a 4-year college such as UNI or ISU for animal science. Ten years from now, he sees himself working in a zoo, married, and having a few kids. His words of wisdom to under classmen are, “smile, and love somebody.”
