On August 30, 1988, the world was blessed
with the birth of Timothy Scott Kroon. Tim was born to
parents Dan and Tammy Kroon. He also has an older brother
Nick and a younger sister Katie. Tim’s family also consists
of three dogs: Jack, Chance, and Meesch.
Tim has been a very active person throughout his high school career. He has participated in and excelled in cross country, track, quiz bowl, international club, FFA, and plans to be in the all-school play this spring. Tim is also a 4-year High Honor Student, treasurer of the student council, and vice president of the national honor society. Tim has exceptionally exceeded in cross country, in which he was a two-time, all-conference runner and a two-time state competitor. Despite his active extra-curricular schedule, Tim keeps himself busy in the classroom as well. This year he is taking government, calculus, physics, Novel II, sociology, agribusiness, web page design, single survival, grammar, and p.e. Tim was also voted Class Angel of the senior class. Tim’s favorite high school memory was of his state cross country experiences.
Although Tim is a quiet guy, he loves to have fun. To relax from his hectic schedule, Tim enjoys watching The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King; listening to any music excluding classical, country, rap; or reading any of the Lord of the Rings books. Tim’s other favorites include the color blue, the food fettuccini alfredo, the class Novel II, and the T.V. show CSI.
Next fall Tim plans to attend Minnesota State University in Mankato for computer engineering. In 10 years, Tim sees himself working as a computer engineer and coming home to a wonderful little family. Tim’s parting words of wisdom for the underclassman are “I always advise people not to give advice.” That statement is an obvious little glimpse into Tim’s sense of humor for all of you who don’t know him. If Tim could spend one day with someone (living or dead), he would spend it with his late Grandpa Kroon, because he was a great, great man.
