Amber Geerdes was welcomed into this
world on June 17, 1990. Her parents are Kim and Ty Geerdes. She
also has a little brother named Grant and a dog named Tatum.
Amber has been fairly active in school and in the community. She is an avid golfer and loves to play on our golf team. She is also in International Club and plays the flute in band. She also attends LYC at her church, and is currently serving as the vice president of this club.
Amber is taking a wide variety of classes this year. She is in band, work study, grammar, single survival, Spanish IV, speech, senior government, child development, psychology, and study hall.
Amber has many favorites. Her favorite movie is Love and Basketball and her favorite book is At First Sight. Her she loves the color pink and loves music in general. She loves macaroni and cheese, especially while watching her favorite TV show Grey’s Anatomy. Her favorite subjects are single survival and child development, both taught by Mrs. Sheldon, but then again, Amber likes any class taught by Mrs. Sheldon!
In ten years, Amber hopes to have graduated from college. She also hopes to become a life specialist and wishes to have a husband and a few children and looks forward to the future.
Amber, a Who’s Who honoree, loves her high school career, but her most memorable high school moment was when we went to state football at the UNI Dome last year. She also wishes to give the following advice to underclassmen: “High school goes by fast. Enjoy it!”
If Amber could spend a day with anybody, living or dead, she would spend that day with her grandpa Walter. He died when Amber was a baby, and she wishes she had had the chance to get to know him.
Amber has enjoyed her senior year so far, and we hope she continues to enjoy it.
