Kayla Briana Ross was born on December
26, 1988, to the proud parents of Betty and the late Randy
Ross. She has one older brother Ryan and one older sister
Kristy. Two other members complete her family: her dog Murphy
and cat Lucky.
Activities in high school that Kayla is involved in include band, senior class president, and football manager for three years, and she also controlled the lights for the musical. Kayla keeps herself busy at school with many classes. These include calculus, social psychology, senior grammar, business marketing, single survival, speech, ceramics, and band. Honors that Kayla has received during high school include homecoming queen, Who’s Who in High School Students, lettering in varsity football, and I ratings for ensemble contests in band. As a high school student, her most memorable moment was in her sophomore year after scoring the winning touchdown against BH-RV. Kayla slipped on the grass, and was then helped up by three of the players.
RCYF and Girls league are two activities that Kayla participates in outside of high school.
Kayla has many favorites including the Movie Empire Records, music, Something Corporate, green, chicken fettuccine alfredo, single survival, the book, Hairstyles of the Damned, the Iowa Great Lakes, and That 70’s show.
Kayla’s plans for the future are to attend a four-year college for business, or possibly accounting, and in ten years, she sees herself married with a stable job and a few kids.
If Kayla could give on piece of advice to underclassmen, she would say not to be afraid to step out of your bubble. Also, if she had the chance to spend one day with someone, it would be her father because they haven’t had much time to spend together.
Kayla has been an very positive student at Central Lyon High School, and her attitude and effort will lead to many achievements in her future.
