Philip Rozeboom (Phil-Ro), the son of Anthony and Arlys Rozeboom, was born on March 15, 1918. Philip has a sister, Jessica; a dog, Ariel; and three cats, Dusty, Blanca, and Katie.
Phil is involved in cross country, track, Band, Jazz Band, International Club, wrestling, Boy Scouts, 4-H, county council, and quiz bowl. He also attends TEC and belongs to the youth group and Bible study at the First Reformed Church of Doon. The classes Phil is taking, are anything but easy! His semester includes: physics, Spanish IV, calculus, single survival, grammar, social psychology, government, and mechanical CAD.
Phil’s favorite color is red, and his favorite food is the Burger King Hershey Pie. He enjoys any type of music, except rap! He loves to read the book The Rifle and is a big fan of the T.V. show LOST. His favorite subjects are Social Psychology, and CAD. If Phil could spend one day with someone living or dead, he would spend it with George Washington, because he would like to meet one of the greatest men who founded the United States.
Lettering in cross country, track, and wrestling; being on the high honor roll; and also being on NHS are among the honors he has received. Phil’s future plans include attending a 4-year college, and major in a field related to science. In ten years, he sees himself working in a lab, excavating fossils in Africa, or discovering new oil fields. His favorite high school moment was making it to state cross country.
Phil’s words of wisdom to underclassmen: “To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift.”
