On September 17, 1988,
Christopher Schwartze came into the world. His parents, Bill
and Julie Meeks, rejoiced at the birth of their second child.
Their first was Adam Schwartze. Chris is especially close to
his grandparents, Jim and Barb Phelps.
This year, Chris is taking calculus, government, applied woods, single survival, chorus, art, novel, and speech. He also participates in football, and he played Franz in The Sound of Music. He has a part time job at the Pizza Ranch in Rock Rapids. He also finds time to volunteer for Rosewood Heights and sing in the men’s choir at his church.
Chris loves to watch movies, especially Accepted, his favorite movie and loves the TV show Whose Line is it Anyway? When it comes to music, he has very little preference. He says, “I can listen to anything… Well, anything but opera anyway!” His favorite colors are black and green, and his favorite foods are mashed potatoes and cheeseburgers. His favorite subjects are math and art, and chorus.
Chris hopes to get a career in visual arts and graphic design. In ten years, he sees himself settled down with a family and kids, in a nice home in the country, with a good job, and a happy life.
His most memorable high school moment was prom night. He loved being able to hang out with his friends the whole night, the non-stop dancing, and the after party. Chris said that this was not the most memorable high school moment, but his most memorable moment of all time.
