On November 22, 1989, Jeff and Jodie
Hoogendoorn were blessed with the birth of their daughter Sara.
Sara has an older brother Terry, a younger brother Seth, a niece
Mackenzie, and a nephew Carter.
Sara has been a hard worker throughout high school. She has kept good grades through her busy schedule of classes and she continues to be a name on the honor roll. Her senior classes include journalism, accounting, Spanish, business marketing, single survival, government, speech, and basic writing. Sara is a four-year member of choir and a singer in swing choir, too.
Outside of school one may find Sara enjoying some of her favorites. She likes the movie The Wizard of Oz, the book Gossip Girl, and the TV shows The Bachelor and Big Brother. Sara likes all kinds of music, the colors pink and lime green, and chocolate malts.
Sara has not yet decided on a college, but she would like to pursue a career in either early childhood or massage therapy. In ten years she hopes to have graduated from college and to be married with kids and have a job. In high school Sara’s most memorable moments were dressing up for Homecoming week and going to state football.
If Sara could spend a day with anyone, she would choose her grandma Connie. Sara’s grandma passed away when Sara was young, and Sara has heard many good things about her grandma and so she would like to get to know her better. To the underclassmen, Sara says: “Don’t change yourself and be fake to be popular, because it won’t matter later in life anyway.”
