Caitlin was voted Class Comedian with Kayla V. and Kevin M.

Pat and Jackie McCarty welcomed their first girl into their lives on February 22, 1990. Caitlin has a little sister Shannon who is in sixth grade.
While in school Caitlin has been in volleyball for four years, track for three years, and individual speech for one year choir for four years, swing choir for two years, dance team for two years and FFA for two years. Her school schedule consists of government, chemistry, foods, Algebra II, grammar, child development, Health I, singles survival, homes by design, and social psychology. Some of her honors would be Honorable Mention Siouxland Conference Volleyball in 2005 and All-State Readers Theater Recognition and honor roll received large group speech and all state readers’ theater awards. On top of all her school activities she worked at the Rock Rapids swimming pool and at the Pioneer Fitness Center.
When Caitlin is bored she can be found watching her favorite movie, Superbad, watching Family Guy, or reading This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen; and some of her other favorites include the color green, country or alternative rock. She will eat anything, but prefers seafood, her favorites subjects would be anything with Mrs. Sheldon or Mr. McDonald, and she loves to hang out with her friends or her boyfriend who makes amazing macaroni and cheese.
Caitlin plans to attend a two year college and complete her generals. She then plans to transfer to a four year school for nursing. In ten years she plans to be married, not be broke and have a couple of kids. Caitlin’s most memorable moment was going to the dome and watching the football boys fulfill their life-long dream of winning a state championship.
When asked who Caitlin would like to spend a day with she said she would spend it with her mom because lately she has been too busy to really stop and talk to her. Her words of advice to the underclassmen are to enjoy every moment because it goes by fast. Caitlin has had a really good year in high school.
