Ash the Cheerleader
Ashley Lynn Schweitzer was born on February 19, to her loving parents Dean and Tami. Her family also includes her older brother Brad and her dog Brody.
Ashley has been a very active student during her high school career. She has been a wrestling cheerleader all four years in high school and this year will be her second year as captain; she has participated on dance team for three years, volleyball for two years, mock trial for one year, individual speech for one year, and choir for four years. Outside of academics Ashley works part-time at Rock Rapids Kids Club. For her senior year, Ashley is taking government, calculus, work study, grammar, novel two, accounting, child development, psychology, and homes by design. She has also been on the honor roll all four years also.
Ashley keeps herself quite busy, but in her free time she loves to read and be with friends. Some of her other favorites are the movie Superbad, listening to country music, the color pink, the book Angels and Demons, the food spaghetti, the subject Novel II, and the television show “The Hills.” If she could spend one day with someone she would spend it with her grandpa Glen because he passed away before she was born and she would like a chance to get to know him.
Ashley’s future plans are to attend a four year college for business administration and in ten years she sees herself married with a couple of kids and a good job. When Ashley looks back on her high school career, her most memorable moment was state wrestling and state football both in her junior year. Her words of wisdom to the underclassmen are “Don’t slack off!” These words stay true to heart for Ashley with all her hard work that is now paying off.
