On April 24, 1980, John and Beth Steven were blessed with their second daughter Danielle. Danielle has two sisters: Diana and Laura. She also has two Saint Bernards named Junior and Abbie.
Danielle keeps herself very busy during the school year and summer. During the summer, she is involved with FFA activities, including Farm Safety Programs, and plays on numerous sand volleyball leagues. In school, she takes lead in all areas. She has been class treasurer all four years. She played volleyball all four years, basketball two years, track two years, and was a wrestling cheerleader for two years. She has also been in band for four years, FFA for four years, and the FFA Treasurer for two years. The classes Danielle is taking this year include: band, calculus, government, speech, psychology, grammar, agricultural business, single survival, p.e., and accounting. Some honors Danielle has received throughout high school are FFA Outstanding Treasurer, NHS member, and four years on the High Honor Roll.
Danielle has a variety of favorites including the movie Save the Last Dance, any type of music, the color bright blue, the book My Sister’s Keeper, the food pineapple glazed ham, the classes math and anything with Mr. Postma, and the television shows Brothers and Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, and One Tree Hill.
In the future, Danielle plans to be living somewhere married and with a job she loves to do. Next year, she plans on attending the University of Northern Iowa. And looking back, Danielle recalls her favorite high school moments to be state wrestling her junior and senior year when she got to cheer for the wrestlers down at state wrestling and watching the football team win state. Lastly, Danielle’s advice to underclassmen is: “Don’t take the little things for granted, and make sure you have fun!”
