On August 15, 1993, Kevin Broesder and Cindi Steenblock were blessed with their first son, Jacob Steenblock. Jacob also has a younger brother, Dylan Sprock.
During his high school career, Jacob has been very busy in sports and academics. He has been involved in basketball, track, and cross country. He has also been in Mock Trial, Student Council, and was the class treasurer for two years.
Outside of school, Jacob has worked at Sportsman’s and Pizza Ranch. He is also very involved in the Methodist church youth group.
His senior year consists of web page, accounting, work study, calculus, foundations of education, AP Spanish, government, human relations in the classroom, and senior grammar. However, Spanish has always been his favorite subject.
Jacob enjoys reading “Angels and Demons” and watching the “Big Bang Theory” and “Avatar.” His favorite food is crab legs, and his favorite color is blue. If Jacob could spend one day with anyone he would choose Anne Frank because she has an amazing story to tell. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his friends and listening to pop music.
Jacob’s most memorable high school moment was watching the state cross country meet. When asked what advice he would leave for the underclassmen, Jacob said, “Don’t be afraid to get involved.”
Jacob’s plans for the future include attending a four-year college for Spanish education and maybe a law degree for international law. In ten years he sees himself traveling to foreign countries working as a diplomat or doing humanitarian work. Good luck in the future, Jacob!
