On May 22, 1992, Michael Acevedo and Trudy Acevedo were blessed with their second son, Jordan Acevedo. Jordan also has an older brother Brandon and a younger sister Allyson.

During his high school career, Jordan has been very busy in athletics. He has been involved in football, basketball, and track for four years. He has also been in baseball for one year and FFA for four years.

His senior year consists of PE, psychology, advanced math, speech, ag. business, single survival, government, foods, Vietnam era, Health 2, metal fabrications, and senior grammar. However, math and ag have always been his favorites.

Jordan enjoys reading “Brian’s Winter” and watching “Ax Men” and “Law and Order: SVU.” His favorite food is macaroni and cheese with hot dogs, his favorite color is orange, and he likes rap and country music. In his spare time Jordan likes watching the movie “John Q” and watching his favorite sports teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Los Angeles Lakers.

If Jordan could spend the day with anyone, he would choose Martin Luther King because he thinks King is very brave, and Jordan would like to hear what King has to say about the whole situation he was involved in.

Jordan’s most memorable high school moments include running out of the dome and being a part of a state runner up football team. He has received many football awards this year, including making Second Team All-State Offense, Northwest Iowa Review All Defensive Team, MVP of District, and a Shrine Bowl Participant.

When asked what advice he would give to the underclassmen, Jordan said, “You get four years of high school; then the real word hits you. So live life to the fullest these four years! Go Lions!!

Jordan’s future plans include attending either USD or USF and playing football. He also plans to major in business or criminal justice. In ten years Jordan sees himself living in Rock Rapids and working in Sioux Falls. He plans to live in a nice home with three kids and be going to every Friday night game to cheer on the Lions! Good luck in the future, Jordan!
