Fundraisers for Spanish Trips

Updated 02.17.12

The International Club is finished with fundraisers for their upcoming trips to Costa Rica and Spain.  Students were offered several fundraising opportunities to help with trip expenses.  Details of each fundraiser, including how the money was split is listed below.

1.  RAFFLE
A raffle drawing was organized by Jodi Schrick.  She secured several wonderful prizes and students sold tickets. The drawing was held February 7. In order to earn an equal share each student must have worked selling raffle tickets at a home game and sold $20 worth of tickets on their own.

2. TACO FEED
We had a Taco John’s supper on January 13, 2012, at the Rock Valley basketball game. To get an equal share of the profits, students must have worked and brought one dozen cookies or bars.

3. NORWEX SALES
We held two fundraisers selling Norwex, one last spring and the second in the fall.  These were organized by Denise Snyders & Sonya Peterson. Students earned 25% of his/her personal sales.

4. RAFFLE for PRESS BOX SEATS
We had a raffle for seats in the press box fort two home football games. Each student received the amount they sold.

5. WORK AT SHOWS
A group of over 20 parents and friends worked the Sawyer Brown concert at the casino.  Not only did we see a free concert and earn a little cash for the students, it was fun! Thanks to Vicki Clasen for organizing this. The money for this was split equally among all students.

6. BAKE SALES & CAR WASH
Students held a bake sale during Heritage Days and a car wash last summer. Thanks to several parents who helped by organizing, working, hauling tables, and baking!
