A senior this year at Central Lyon High school, Is Mindy Harberts. She was born on June 25, 1994, to Ordel and Melissa Harberts. She has three sisters: Nicole, Jessie, and Becca.
During her senior year Melinda is taking band, physics, and college intro to computers, grammar, ag business, calculus, and college composition. The activities Mindy has participated in during high school are FFA, FFA reporter, basketball, basketball and football manager, stage crew for the musicals, NHS, International Club and Band. Outside of school, Melinda participates in RCFY at the Bethel Reformed Church in Ellsworth and has been an active member of 4-H.
Mindy’s favorites include the movie the “Bounty Hunter,” music by Jason Aldean, the colors blue and yellow, and the restaurant Hu Hot. She also likes reading books by Nicolas Sparks and the T.V. show “Full House.” Her favorite subject in school is anything ag related. Melinda’s most memorable high school is either going to State 4-H conference in Ames or FFA convention.
If Mindy could spend one day with anyone, it would be her Grandma Harberts because she passed away when Melinda was freshman, and they were very close.
In the future Melinda wants to attend Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall and major in agriculture management. In ten years she sees herself with a career and married maybe with kids. Good luck, Mindy!
