Alex Postma was born to parents Glenn and Rhonda on April 23, 1995. He has a sister, Abby, and also a dog named Dora. The one person that Alex would like to spend a day with would be his cousin Jaime Koedam. Alex never got to meet him and his family says the two were very similar.
Activities that Alex has been involved in during high school are football and wrestling for four years. He has been in FFA for four years, and he has been an officer for three of those years. He was President of the FFA for two years. Alex also attends youth group at First Reformed Church in Doon.
This year Alex is taking the classes ag business, work study, health, web page design, ag construction and government; ag construction is his favorite subject. Alex’s favorite movie is “8 Seconds,” and his favorite TV show is “Duck Dynasty.” Steak is his favorite kind of food. His favorite music to listen to is country, and his favorite color is blue.
Winning the Beef Bowl in 2011 and playing in that game was Alex’s most memorable high school experience.
Alex sees himself farming in ten years but first he plans on going to a two year college. He will attend college for agriculture and custom feed cattle and farm. His words of wisdom are “Don’t procrastinate and get your work done.”
