The Union Gospel Mission, Kids Against Hunger, The Banquet, mission trips, youth groups and NHS, what do all of these groups have in common? Along with being well known charity and public benefit organizations, they are all groups that Jericho has volunteered and helped.
While Jericho is busy volunteering, he is also busy inside of various educational and extracurricular activities. This year, Jericho is taking classes in physics, composition, economics, government, Single survival, principals of engineering, AP Calculus, and choir. His favorite courses are those that involve math and science.
As for extracurricular activities, Jericho is actively involved inside of jazz choir, football, basketball, and track, having attended the state track meet as a part of the 4x800 team last year as a junior.
Outside of school, Jericho finds time to enjoy things like his favorite movies, “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit”; his favorite TV show, “Arrow”; and his favorite book, “Divergent.” Jericho’s favorite food is chocolate chip pancakes, and his favorite color is blue.
Jericho comes from a large family. Along with his parents, Jeff and Lori, Jericho has eight brothers and sisters: JP, Kezia, Tirzah, Lacey, Justus, Jadon, Selah, and Gracia; and one cat, Fred. It makes sense, then, that if he could spend a day with anybody, he would spend it with his grandpas. Jericho says that they’re fun to be around and that he enjoys their company because of their great sense of humor.
To the underclassmen, Jericho leaves these words of wisdom: word hard and enjoy every moment of high school because it is gone before you know it.
