Outdoor Recreation 2015
Once again it is that time of the year! May-Term got started on Wednesday April 29. My Outdoor Recreation class has been learning the basics of fishing. The students spent the first couple of days in the classroom learning about the rules and regulations of fishing. They were also able to learn about the different styles of tackle and equipment that you can use while fishing. We also went over different kinds of fishing knots and how to tie them. The students did a great job on learning all of this and were able to take it with them when we went to the Rock River here in town. They will have the opportunity to catch a wide variety of species of fish while we spend the next few weeks fishing. So far smallmouth bass have been the primary catch along the rocks.
