Spook-tacular Halloween Party
The second grade students had their Halloween party on Monday, October 31, 2016. Special thanks to Mrs. Herbert for organizing our party this year. Mrs. Fluit, Mrs. Pedersen, Mrs. Wynia, Mrs. Herbert, and Mrs. Henrichs provided the drink, snacks, and prizes for the party. It was great to have so many parents celebrate the day with us!
The students were divided into small groups for the party. They rotated stations about every 15 minutes. The kids had fun trying to bounce ping pong balls decorated like eyeballs into plastic cups for prizes. Other kids threw small candy pieces into pumpkin pails for more prizes. Others tried to maneuver an orea cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands.
The kids had a lot of fun with this activity, and there were several children that were able to complete the task. The last group of kids were blindfolded. They had to reach their hands into green colored spaghetti noodles to find Halloween items. When the kids were not playing, they were eating and drinking. Lastly, the kids attempted to eat powdered sugar donuts suspended from a string without using their hands. Special thanks to all of the parents who helped make the day so much fun for everyone. The kids had a spook-tacular time!
