Christmas Spirit

Students in the lower elementary have spent time learning about Christmas traditions in other countries. The TK class, kindergarten, and first grade students traveled around to other teachers learning about Italy, China, Germany, Israel, Uganda, Sweden, and Australia . They learned about how they celebrate, what language they speak, and some even got to make a craft representing that country! My students had a great time and loved coming back and teaching me what they learned. To end this exciting trip, the students were asked to come to the elementary gym where Santa came to visit them. He read them the book, "The Night Before Christmas" and bid them farewell but not before reminding them to be good! We ended the activity by singing, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Jingle Bells, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Every year the kids learn something new and so does their teacher!!!! :)
