Two CL Artists Recognized at Art Show for YAM

Mrs. Hoppe and Quintin at the art show.

Seth Leman and Quintin Sprock, fourth grade artists, were selected by the Art Educators of Iowa (AEI) to show their artwork at the 2017 Youth Art Month Show (YAM) show in Des Moines.  March is the annual YAM celebration of young artists across the nation.

Their work, fibers and stitching with mixed soluble inks, was on display March 10 – March 24 at the Rassmussen Center of Grandview University along with the work of 100 – 200 other Iowa Young Artists.  They were recognized on stage and awarded a participation certificate by the president of AEI on March 25 at the Johnson Wellness Center, also at Grandview University.  Art teacher Mrs. Hoppe, Seth, and Quintin, along with family members, attended the awards ceremony to recognize these artists. They and their families also participated in hands-on creative art stations prior to the ceremony.
