We are off to a great start in the 2017-2018 school year. The start of the year has been as smooth as any I can remember in recent years. As superintendent I try to read up on school and administrative publications whenever I can, and I came across this article this week in a magazine titled “School Administrator”. It focuses on reasonable expectations of what an 18-year-old should be able to do. I thought I would share it with everyone just as food for thought. I have to admit, I recognized some of my own parenting in this article, and it really hit home with me as I look back on the years when my children were at home – and even as they are young adults!
Take a few moments to read the article (click here) and see if you recognize any of these traits in your household, again, just food for thought.
