Rockin' 50th Day of School
Happy 50th Day of Kindergarten!
We made 50 days! In Kindergarten, we celebrate the 50th day of school in style. We ask the students to dress in their best 50s clothing and do a variety of 50s themed activities. We started in our own classroom and played Race to 50. Each group of students is given a dice and a game board. The board has 50 spaces and the students have to roll their dice and move that many spaces. The first person to 50 is the winner! While they are playing, they are given a chance to hula hoop. As you can see by the pictures, we had a great time hula hooping! Then they visited Mrs. Larson who played them some 50s music on her record player. They had a sock hop and attempted to blow bubbles with bubble gum. Their last stop, was Mrs. Gerber's room where they colored some 50th day hats and were able to take some pictures in the photo booth. We showed off our cool hats by wearing them to lunch. Our final activity of the day was having root beer floats. We really enjoyed our special treat and had a great time celebrating the 50th day of school.
