What's been going on in our class?
What has been going on in our class? The answer is a LOT of things. Of course we are learning. We do spelling, reading, vocabulary, we compare and contrast, we discuss current events, and every once in a while...we have some fun. Here are some pictures from some of the fun things!
**The Sixth graders read some stories about saving endangered animals. Each group had a different animal. When they finished reading, we used hula hoops and our smartboard to compare and contrast each animal. They had fun with it.
**If you find the picture of the kids that looks like they are reading with flashlights...you're right! On October 13th, which happened to be my birthday, I let the kids have flashlight Friday. We turned off the lights and they read with little finger flashlights. This was a big hit!
**The last group of pictures is from our trip to Pahoja. It was their annual Outdoor Classroom. We learned about bees, animal furs, soil (erosion), the kids got to get dirty as they dig specimens from the lake, they saw the old school house and even dug for worms. Have them tell you more about their experiences.
Again, we are doing a lot of learning, with breaks for some fun as well!
Stay tuned for more events from room 114!!
