The Flood That Came to Grandma's House

One of the newest books in the library is the The Flood That Came to Grandma's House by Linda P. Stallone.  The book was written about rainfall from Hurricane Agnes causing the Susquehanna River to flood, which makes Grandma and Grandpa abandon their home and flee to higher ground.  Former Central Lyon teacher, Mrs. Medema, has a connection to the author.  She came and read the book to all three 2nd grade classes and then donated the book to our library.  Thank you, Mrs. Medema!
