Pi Day!

What is Pi?  You might say ... Pi is the 16th letter of the Greek Alphabet.

Well in Math - Pi is very important - it is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.  So, it is taking the distance all the way around a circle and dividing by its diameter.

The symbol for Pi is π

π = 3.14159265358979323846... {the digits go on forever and ever and ever without repeating}

In honor of Pi Day - we colored the symbol for Pi and then enjoyed a slice of apple Pi(e)!
