JMC Notification Error
Dear Central Lyon Students, Families & Staff,
I want you to know that I care deeply about the safety of our students and staff, which is why I decided to delay the start of school by two hours this morning. Unfortunately, there was an issue with JMC and not everyone received notification of our delay through this system.
Because of today’s issue, I encourage you to double check your JMC contact information – click to open step-by-step instructions. Please be sure our system has your most up-to-date telephone number(s) and email address(es). Be sure to also verify that you have chosen to receive text messages (SMS) and weather-related phone calls. If you have any difficulties following the directions and completing the verification of your contact information, do not hesitate to contact the school and speak with a secretary to help you with the process.
As a reminder, in addition to JMC notifications, delay or closing announcements are always posted on our Facebook page, Central Lyon Community School District, and tweeted through our Twitter handle, @CentralLyon. Announcement are also made on KIWA (101.1 FM and 800 AM), KQAD (105.3 FM and 1550 AM), as well as through KELO’s close line – both on their website (keloland.com) and through the ticker at the bottom of their live broadcast.
I sincerely apologize for today’s error. I am thankful students and staff were able to make it to school safely today.
Superintendent Brent Jorth
