Student of the Month
The Student of the Month Award
was created in 1992. This award was designed to promote good
citizenship, academic effort, and involvement in school and
community activities. This is neither a senior nor an honor
student award, but rather one that is earned by any student’s hard
work and cooperative attitude.
Best of Class
Best of Class categories are set by the journalism teacher and
voted on by the senior class. It doesn't mean you are the
"best of class" but it means that your classmates thought you
deserved to win that category.
Senior Spotlights
Senior Spotlights are printed in the Lions Pride section of
the Lyon County Reporter. Each senior is asked to
complete a questionnaire which is used by a journalism student to
write a senior spotlight article. Description of the senior,
his/her future plans, and responses to other questions are included
in each senior spotlight.
