My name is Jamie Schar. This is my seventh year at Central Lyon. I am an Iowa State graduate. GO CYCLONES! I enjoy working at Central Lyon. I love being part of such a great school system and community. I am looking forward to yet another year. I teach first grade, and I am also Central Lyon's head volleyball coach. GO LIONS! My husband's name is Matt; we have a son named Emmet and a dog named Chewie. I also have a step daughter named Avery. We love to do things outside! First grade is a busy year. First grade friends will be introduced to many different kinds of skills and concepts. They will leave first grade having obtained many new things.
The first graders' year will consist of many enriching, hands-on activities. They will spend a lot of time throughout this school year working to become excellent writers as well as, authors. As a teacher, I strive to teach lessons that meet all of the different types of learners I have in my classroom.
