Fluoride
A weekly fluoride rinse is offered for free at Central Lyon. This involves grades K, 2, and 3. Parental permission is required. Students swish the flavored fluoride once weekly for one minute and then spit it back into their cups. Dental trivia is done during the swish. Flavors include: mint, orange, grape, root beer, and bubblegum.

Vaccinations
Certain vaccinations are offered yearly for a suggested donation cost of $2o per shot. Forms are sent home with students and parents are notified via the school web site. Vaccinations may include the following:
6th grade: Tdap (tetanus and pertussis)
8th grade: Menactra (meningitis)
High school: influenza
Once your child turns 19, vaccinations become expensive. Please make sure your child has the necessary college vaccinations before then.
