Dental: Completed form required for grades Kindergarten and 9
Lead: Screening required for Kindergarten
Medications: Students are allowed to carry inhalers and Epi-pens with them per parent discretion. We do need a note or form filled out by parent and physician.
Over-the-counter medications: We will administer Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Benadryl if we have parent permission. Parents will be notified if their child is taking this medication nine or more times per quarter. We will administer cough drops and antibiotic cream as needed.
All medication needs to be kept in the school office. Medication needs to be in the original container. If it is prescription medication, we need a form signed by both parent and physician. Certain medications will be counted by two staff members when it arrives at school.
Parents will be notified in the fall if they have medication at school that is or will outdate during the school year. This includes inhalers and Epi-pens.
