I have taught Special Education 20 years, 1 year of science, and 8 years of middle school Literature. I graduated from Mankato State University with a double major in K-8 Reading, Elementary Education, and Special education at the graduate level. After graduating from college I substitute taught for 4 years and had two children which gave me a wide range of experience at different grade levels in a variety of local school systems.
We are excited to begin reading "Gitchie Girl" on January 20th. We are also looking forward to visiting with the author and learning about the writing process.
