Clothes study

Over the past few weeks our preschool class has started a study on clothes.   We had a lot of parents provide items of clothing for this study.  Some of the items include: shoes, belts, hats, swimsuits, shorts, pants, shirts, dresses, ties, scarves, tutus, socks, and onesies.  Last week we talked about ways to sort our clothing collection.  We seperated by color, one piece or two, clothes you wear in the winter and summer, and sort sleeve or long sleeve.  Students also listed one thing they knew about clothes before starting the unit.  They talked about colors, sizes, patterens, buttons, zippers, and types of clothes.   We will continue to learn about clothes people wear for thier jobs, how they are made, and  what materials they are made out of, before ending our clothing unit.
