Learning through Science

Here at CL we have lots of opportunities to involve members of our school community but also our local community in our daily learning!

Mr. P and Ms. Emily have been amazing assets to our growth in science. We have learned from Mr. P about potential careers our students could strive to become such as a marine biologist, an aerospace engineer, a gardener, and much more! Every time I tell the kiddos he is coming they literally jump our of their seats!

We also have had the opportunity to learn from Ms. Emily, our local naturalist through Lyon County. She is AMAZING and so great with our students. Ms. Emily each month picks different topics and animals we get to discover and learn more about. We have learned about Bats, Spiders, Turkeys, Birds, Eggs and so much more! We get to have her in our classroom but also at our local nursing homes as well.

We love science in kindergarten, we have enjoyed the hands- on learning experience it has provided us, along with knowledge on the choices we will have after graduation.

We cannot wait to see what these two have in store for us next!
