Screening of Students & Staff
As a reminder to those who have recently traveled or planning to travel in the coming weeks:

  • Upon return from travel outside of the United States:
    • Students and staff are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
    • After the 14-day self-isolation has concluded, the student and/or staff member must contact public health and the school before returning to school.
  • Upon return from travel within the United States beyond two (2) hours of Central Lyon Schools, students and staff members should ask themselves the following questions:
  • Have I traveled to a region of the nation that is known to have community spread?
  • Have I been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
  • Do I have a fever of 100 degrees or greater?
  • Do I have a cough?
  • Am I experiencing shortness of breath?
  • If the answer to any of the questions is YES, the student or staff member should 1) stay home, 2) contact public health (472-8200), and 3) phone their primary care physician for further instructions and monitoring.
  • If the answer to all questions is NOthe student or staff member must report to their respective office at Central Lyon to have their temperature taken prior to entering the school building.

As stated Friday, this is a rapidly changing situation and we will monitor and adapt our plans as new information and guidance is provided.  Central Lyon Schools will continue to provide updates for families to keep our students, staff, and residents safe.
