My name is Alex Tiedemann, and I will be student teaching in Mrs. Boekhout’s room until the end of April! I am from Boyden and went to Boyden-Hull Community School from kindergarten through my senior year. I graduated from BHS in 2018 and then went on to major in elementary education at Dordt University. I will be graduating from Dordt in May, and I hope to find a teaching job in the area for next year!

I am getting married in July to my fiancé, Jacob Van Der Wilt, who is also graduating from Dordt University with an education degree in May. Jacob and I will be living in Hull after we get married. We have a sweet, new puppy named Finley. I like to keep myself busy! Alongside student teaching, I am a football and basketball cheerleading coach at Boyden-Hull. I also work at a Hope Haven house when I have time. I am also a high school youth group sponsor at American Reformed Church in Hull. I am so excited to get to know and work with Mrs. Boekhout's 2nd grade students. I am confident that I will learn a lot from them as they are learning from me.
