Central Lyon High School Drama Department Presents Beauty and the Beast which was performed for the public on Thursday, October 15, Saturday, October 17, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, October 18, at 2:00 PM. Beauty and the Beast was directed by Ann Langholdt and Rochelle Ebel. They also have a student assistant director this year who is sophomore Levi K.


An arrogant young prince and his castle's servants fall under the spell of a wicked enchantress, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. The spirited, headstrong village girl Belle enters the Beast's castle after he imprisons her father Maurice. With the help of his enchanted servants, including the matronly Mrs. Potts, Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation.

In our own Central Lyon production of Beauty and the Beast, the lead roles are Belle who is played by senior Lauren L and Beast who is played by senior Beau D. Other characters are Gaston who is played by sophomore Chase T, Maurice who is played by sophomore Asthen VK, Costworgth who is played by sophomore Matthew L, Mrs. Potts who is played by senior Korinna T, Lumire who is played by senior Gabe K, Chip who is played by junior Kylee M, Babette who is played by junior Sydney W, Madame De La Grande Bouche who is played by junior Emma B, and Lefou who is played by sophomore Grant VA.
