Welcome to the Secondary Media Center

Welcome to our webpage! The quicklinks on the left will guide you to some of the most frequently used resources.

The High School Library Catalog lists all print and media resources available in the library.  Searches can be done by entering a subject, title, author or other chosen criteria.

Online Resources is linked to a start page which allows users to quickly access frequently used web pages.  Most require the Iowa AEA Online username and password.  This username and password is available to all students free of charge by contacting one of the librarians or picking up a card in the media center.

Noodletools is a tool for note-taking, outlining, citation, document
archiving/annotation, and collaborative research and writing which requires a unique username and password which can be obtained from one of the librarians, as well.

Novelist Plus is an online readers' resource that helps you uncover your next great read.  This resource searches for read-alikes for every title, author, and series.  For example if you like the Hunger Game series, it will produce a list of books that have a similar theme/topic.

Iowa AEA Online will link you directly to their homepage which includes additional information about each of their resources including copyright guidelines. Ask any teacher for our user ID and password.

Students have access to all these applications and websites 24/7.
